Girl, Think Bigger

The beauty of your thoughts lies in your ability to decide where they take you. Did you know you can think yourself into sadness or anger just as easily as you can think yourself into peace and serenity? What you consistently meditate on has the power to shape your mood and influence the direction of your life. I once heard someone say, “Where your thoughts go, the man follows.” This aligns with what the Bible teaches in Proverbs 23:7: “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”

There’s a profound connection between the mind and the heart. If we don’t intentionally govern our thoughts, we risk allowing whatever randomly pops into our minds to dictate our emotions and actions — leading either to a life of frustration or one of calm and clarity.

One resource I highly recommend is As a Man Thinketh by James Allen. It’s a small, powerful book that beautifully explains the mind-heart connection. I’ve read it many times over the years as a reminder to keep my thoughts aligned with truth and possibility.

Your thoughts have the power to transport you beyond your current circumstances. I encourage you to stretch your imagination and envision the endless possibilities available to you. Start declaring: “If anyone can do it, I can. If anyone can have it, I can. If anyone can achieve it, so can I.”

Think yourself joyful, not sorrowful. Think yourself prosperous, not stuck in lack. The thoughts you choose to cultivate will set the course for your life — so dream big, think bold, and watch your life rise to match your mindset.
